Lorry driver receiving hospital treatment and motorists warned of delays following collision at Benington

A main road is due to be closed for a number of hours following an incident involving a lorry.

The single-vehicle collision has seen Lincolnshire Police shut the A52 at Benington, between Boston and Skegness, until further notice.

The road becomes buys this time of years with holidaymakers heading to the coast.

The driver is currently receiving hospital treatment.

“The A52 at Bennington will be closed for a few hours following a single vehicle collision involving the driver of a lorry,” a police statement read.

“The driver sustained injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution.

“There will be delays in the area.”
