A police spokesperson said: “ The A16 is closed following a serious collision between Algakirk and Sutterton Dowdyke, close to Church Lane. This involved a van and a lorry, and was reported at 12.55pm today. We are on scene and expect to be there until at least the early hours while we carry out initial investigations, please avoid the area.”
Officers were also called to a ‘serious’ crash on the A46 near Witham St Huges this afternoon.
The road is closed between Pennels and the Halfway House roundabouts and it is not expected to re-open until the early hours of tomorrow morning (April 21).
