Care homes in Grantham area retain ‘outstanding’ and ‘good’ ratings from Care Quality Commission
Care homes in the area have retained ‘outstanding’ and ‘good’ ratings following a recent review.
A number of Grantham area care homes continue to be rated as ‘outstanding’ or ‘good’ the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The CQC regulates and inspects health and social care providers, rating them as either outstanding, good, requires improvement or inadequate.
After revewing the information and data available to them on April 5, the CQC said it found no evidence to reassess the ‘outstanding’ rating of Gregory House, in Welby Gardens, Grantham, which was given after an inspection in March 2021.
The same went for the ‘good’ ratings given to eight care homes in the Grantham area after previous inspections.
The CQC said that it will “continue to monitor information” about each service.
The eight care homes that retained their ‘good’ rating after the review on April 5 were:
- Belvoir House Care Home, Brownlow Street, Grantham
- Birchwood Retirement Home, 6-8 Dudley Road, Grantham
- Caythorpe Residential Home, 77 High Street, Caythorpe
- Fairview Farm, Gloucester Road, Grantham
- Harrowby Lodge Nursing Home, 4 Harrowby Lane, Grantham
- Harrow Street, 18 Harrow Street, Grantham
- Millfield House Care Home, 13 Back Lane, Colsterworth
- Newton House Care Home, 148 Barrowby Road, Grantham
