Cases brought before magistrates sitting in Lincoln recently include:
Calum Steven Stinson, 21, of Harris Way, Grantham: accused of inflicting grievous bodily arm upon a person in Sainsbury’s car park, Sleaford, and of damaging a window at an address in Sleaford, both on January 23. Sent for trial at Lincoln Crown Court on August 1.
Daryell Fottles, 55, of Castlegate, Grantham: admitted taking a Honda Civic without the consent of its owner, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and with no insurance, and causing damage with the vehicle to traffic lights, all in Castlegate on June 24. Also admitted driving the vehicle on Manthorpe Road, Grantham, without due care and attention and breaching a suspended sentence in relation to two offences of theft. Committed to prison for 10 weeks, £115 victim surcharge and disqualified from holding a licence for two years.
Mefmet Erol, 28, of London Road, Grantham: admitted damaging a front door in Dysart Road and using violence to enter the property on April 20. Discharged conditionally for 12 months, £20 victim surcharge and £80 costs.
Jay Paul Madsen, 24, of Warmington Avenue, Grantham: admitted stealing an Adidas tracksuit worth £64.99 from Sports Direct, Grantham, on May 28, and failing to surrender to custody at Grantham Magistrates’ Court on June 20. Discharged conditionally for one year, to pay £64.99 in compensation, £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Anthony Norman Barnett, 69, of Belton Lane, Grantham: found guilty of failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis in Swingbridge Road, Grantham, on March 25. Fined £375, £38 victim surcharge, £775 costs and disqualified from driving for 14 months.
Stephen Jack, 44, of River View Maltings, Grantham: admitted attending a woman’s address in Grantham on July 26, 2015, and during the course of the evening using unlawful violence against her, which he was prohibited from doing by a non-molestation order made at Grantham Magistrates’ Court on April 22, 2015. Committed to prison for six weeks suspended for one year, £80 victim surcharge, £85 costs and made subject of a restraining order prohibiting him from contacting the victim.
Petrona Dawn Gabriel, 46, of Beck Gardens, Grantham: denies two counts of stealing manula honey from Holland and Barrett in Spalding on January 30, the first worth £300 and the second worth £900. Sent for trial at Lincoln Crown Court on August 8.
Dale Martin Sumner, 35, of Huntingtower Road, Grantham: accused of stealing two Michael Kors handbags worth £259.98 from TK Maxx in Grantham on July 2, stealing a Michael Kors handbag worth £129.99 from TK Maxx on July 4, entering an address in William Street as a trespasser to steal items including keys to a Honda Civic vehicle on June 24 and using a Honda Civic in William Street with no insurance. Sent for trial at Lincoln Crown Court on August 4.
Curtis James Plant, 19, of Harrowby Road, Grantham: denied assaulting a woman by beating and having in his possession an offensive weapon, namely a pair of scissors, in Harrowby Road, Grantham, on May 30. Remanded on bail to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on September 5.
Bruce Mark Atter, 44, of Ogden Square, Great Gonerby: guilty of driving a Volkswagen vehicle on Gonerby Road at a speed exceeding 30mph on December 17, 2015. Fined £90, driving licence endorsed with three points, £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Tania Donnelly, 23, of Hillside, Ancaster: accused of failing to give information to Lincolnshire Police relating to the identification of the driver of a Ford vehicle alleged to have been guilty of an offence, in West Parade, Lincoln, on March 21. Full hearing to take place at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on August 15.
Emlis Toms, 20, of South Parade, Grantham: guilty of driving a Volkswagen Golf vehicle at Osbournby on December 8, 2015, otherwise than in accordance with a licence and with no insurance. Fined £660, £66 victim surcharge, £85 costs and driving licence endorsed with six points.
Hayley Rebecca Walsh, 30, of Springfield Road, Grantham: guilty of driving a Renault vehicle on Harrowby Road, Grantham, on October 16 while using a hand-held mobile phone. Fined £220, £22 victim surcharge, £85 costs and driving licence endorsed with three points.
Tony James Muxlow, 29, of Commercial Road, Grantham: denied assaulting a male by beating in Princess Drive, Grantham, on July 8. Remanded on bail for trial at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on October 7, with conditions not to contact the alleged victim nor to go to an address in Princess Drive.
Carol Tripp and Roy Tripp, both of the Black Bull Hotel, Lobthorpe, North Witham: denied managing a house in multiple occupation without a valid licence in relation to Black Bull Farm House, Wooleys Lane, Lobthorpe, on July 2, 2015, and failing to provide documents in relation to the property as requested to do so by a notice served on June 17, 2015. Adjourned to Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on September 20 for two-day trial.
Amy Louise Perry, 25, of Larch Close, Grantham: guilty of using a Peugeot vehicle in Trent Road, Grantham, when the grooves of the tread pattern of tyres fitted to the front nearside and front offside wheels were not at least 1.6mm in depth. Fined £440, £44 victim surcharge, £85 costs and driving licence endorsed with three points.
