This is when Grantham South Witham Travelodge will reopen its doors
The UK’s first budget hotel chain is set to complete its reopening of hotels in the Grantham area.
Grantham South Witham Travelodge will reopen for business on Friday July 31.
This is the chain's third and final reopening in the area following lockdown, with Grantham A1 Travelodge and its Grantham Colsterworth Travelodge reopening last week.
As part of its hotel reopening programme, Travelodge has invested in a multi-million pound Covid-19 safety and social distance programme called Travelodge Protect+, which features in the company’s three Grantham hotels.
The programme includes: comprehensive cleaning throughout its hotels using an antiviral disinfectant, installation of customer hand sanitiser stations in key locations in the hotel and protective reception screens.
Staff have also received comprehensive training of every hotel team member on cleaning, hygiene and social distancing, while additional post clean room checks will be held, with digital tracking in place.
During the lockdown, Travelodge kept 62 hotels open across the UK from Plymouth to Aberdeen to support key / critical workers, vulnerable groups and local authorities.
Shakila Ahmed, Travelodge, Spokeswoman said: “We are delighted to reopen our Grantham South Witham Travelodge which marks the completion of our Grantham hotel reopening programme.
"Our three Grantham hotels are now open for business and the hotel teams are geared up for a busy summer season.
“With safety at the forefront of our business, we have worked closely with our hotel teams that stayed open during the lockdown, government and industry bodies to develop our new Covid-19 safety programme called TravelodgeProtect+.
"This safety programme is designed to keep our customers and teams safe and has been implemented into all Travelodge hotels and features in our three Grantham Travelodge hotels.”
Travelodge is not currently operating its hotel restaurants and has launched a new version of its popular breakfast box that customers can purchase from their hotel reception desk or online at just £5.25.
The new ‘Breakfast To Go Box’ will ensure Travelodge customers can still continue to kick start their day with a tasty breakfast and enjoy complimentary tea and coffee in their room.
The company calibrated with its business and leisure customers to help design the new enhanced eco- friendly ‘Breakfast to Go Box’ which is 100% recyclable. The compact box contains the nation’s favourite breakfast delights which includes Cornflakes, flapjack, a pain au chocolat and orange juice.
