Jobs to be created when Muston pub serves up new look
Jobs are being created at a well known hostelry at Muston that is undergoing a major revamp.
The Gap Inn, in Church Lane, in Muston, has closed for two weeks while the refurbishment is carried out.
The revamp will see the Mitchells & Butlers-owned inn converted from a Crown Carvery to one of the firm’s Sizzling Pizza and Carvery pubs.
It will create 12 full-time and part-time jobs when it reopens on November 27 and the pub will also provide support to local charities to help the community.
General manager, Richard Jenkins, said: “The pub has been given a fantastic new look, great products and a brand new menu, incorporating pub favourites from the UK and around the world.
He added: “At Mitchells & Butlers we’re constantly reviewing our portfolio to make sure we have the right brand in the right location and we think this Sizzling will make a great addition to the local area.”
Now the pub is searching for someone who goes out of their way for others to give them a well-deserved treat and to be a VIP guest at the pub’s relaunch.
Mr Jenkins said: “We’re thrilled to be able to give back to the local community by finding Muston’s local hero.
“We’re calling on the people of Muston to vote for a worthy person in the area who deserves to be recognised for their giving nature.
“We’re looking for someone who regularly goes the extra mile for others and makes a difference to people’s lives.
“We feel that the Gap Inn is an integral part of the community and great place for family and friends, so we’re delighted to be able to give back to the people who need it most.”
If you know someone who should be recognised for going the extra mile, please send us their name, contact details and reasons why they are a local hero to nominations@mbplc.com
