An expanding law firm in Grantham has significantly boosted its operations with a number of new recruits.

JMP Solicitors, which is based at the Autumn Park Business Centre, in Dysart Road, has just taken on nine new members of staff.

Together the new arrivals bring with them an impressive 160 years plus of legal experience.

JMP director Yvonne Carratt said: “JMP Solicitors has a great reputation for delivering excellent services to our clients and our endeavour to deliver a ‘just more personal’ service to the people and businesses we represent means we have added an additional nine members of staff since last year.

“This is good news for law professionals in and around the town and for local people who want legal advice from highly qualified lawyers.”

Among the new recruits are highly regarded commercial lawyer Sonia Braybrook, who joins to head up JMP’s business services division.

She has previously spent a number of years in Westminster as an in-house lawyer for the Department of Transport.

JMP’s managing director, Ian Howard, said: “Having Sonia in the team will be invaluable to businesses in Grantham as she brings with her a good working knowledge of the role of politics and proper governance in an atmosphere of change.”

Also among the new recruits is Alan Carley, who will leads the conveyancing team.

Mr Carley has more than 30 years’ experience in real estate transactions and joins JMP Solicitors from the former Grantham practice of Fraser Wise & Co.

JMP Solicitors was created 15 years ago by Ian Howard and Yvonne Carratt and moved into purpose-built premises in Grantham in 2003 and opened its London office seven years later.

Last year, it was named Business of the Year by the judges of the Grantham Business Awards.

It was also awarded the accreditation of “leading firm” by the Legal 500 as well as the award of “recommended lawyer” for Mr Howard.

In October 2015 Chambers and Partners released their 2016 guide to legal services listing the firm as a Band 1 provider of personal injury services in the Midlands.
