Outdoor playground at Belton House near Grantham closed due to weather

An outdoor playground at an estate house is closed due to the weather.

Belton House’s outdoor playground remains closed today (Monday) due to the extreme weather over the weekend.

A spokesperson for Belton House said: “The water has completely receded now and apart from clearing up, the gardens are all back to open as normal.

“The playground will reopen tomorrow (Tuesday).

“The train won’t be operating as repairs are needed to the track, but other than that, all equipment will be working and the Muddy Hands cafe will also be open to visitors.”

The house was completely closed over the weekend as a result of the weather.

The worst of the flooding was on Friday (October 20) and Saturday (October 21).

Storm Babet caused disruption across the area over the weekend.
