Farmfoods in Grantham set to close current store ahead of move to bigger premises in former Laura Ashley and Poundstretcher units at Discovery Retail Park

A Grantham supermarket is set to move to bigger premises in the town.

The current Farmfoods store in London Road is set to close on Sunday October 1.

This will allow the food retailer to move to “a new bigger and better store” based in Discovery Retail Park, which is also in London Road.

The new premises will open on Saturday October 7, after plans were approved in June to merge two vacant units in the retail park into one.

The two units in question were most recently occupied by Laura Ashley and Poundstretcher.

A sign on the current store states that discounts will be offered until it closes on Sunday.
