FOOTBALL: Harrowby United secure Environcom sponsorship for fourth season
Harrowby United Football Club this week announced that local company Environcom will again be the Arrows’ main sponsor for the 2016/17 season.
Environcom will have their name on the first team shirts, as well as naming rights to the Dickens Road stadium.
Harrowby club chairman Michael Atter said: “Yet again. this is a great deal for the club. Environcom are now in their fourth year of continued support for Harrowby and we are delighted to have secured their support financially with such a forward thinking company.”
And Jon Parsons, of Environcom, had this to say about the partnership: “Environcom is delighted to have partnered with Harrowby United and look forward to maintaining a long-standing relationship with the club.”
The club also announced this week the appointment of David Wilkinson as their new commercial manager.
Chairman Mr Atter commented: “David’s drive and determination to raise the club’s profile and gain much needed funds will prove valuable as the club moves forward.”
David said he was delighted to be part of the Harrowby set up: “When I was approached by the chairman to get involved I had no hesitation in accepting the role. I have been impressed with the direction that the club is moving.”

Changes at Dickens Road during the close season have seen the club invest more than £10,000 on ground improvements, mainly on new perimeter fencing. On the pitch, the Arrows Reserves side will play in the Linconlshire League next season, whilst the ladies’ and girls’ football scheme is on track.
Harrowby United’s pre-season friendlies begin on Tuesday night when they host Grantham Town, kick-off 7.45pm. It will be the first time the two sides have met for 16 years.
