Grantham Running Club take part in Jane Tomlinson's City of Lincoln 10K race
Grantham Running Club had a great turn-out for the return of the very popular Jane Tomlinson's City of Lincoln 10K race.
More than 40 runners from the Grantham club were part of the 4,700-strong field that got proceedings underway on Riseholme Road, outside the Yarborough Leisure Centre.
The route was mainly around the Ermine area of Lincoln and the finish line was at the picturesque Cathedral and Castle.
The crowds on the day were incredible and all of the Grantham runners were thankful for the thousands of people who came out to line the route and cheer them on.
The first male runner across the finish line for Grantham was Gavin Potter with a fantastic time of 37:37 in his first attempt at the race.
Catherine Payne was the first female runner across the finish line for Grantham with a brilliant time of 44:18 which brought her in fourth in her age category.

Overall, GRC runners were impressed with the event and felt it was very well organised.
