Kesteven Under 15s triumphed after a match with a rollercoaster of emotions in their NLD Plate final against Spalding.
K's ran out 24-22 winners in the thrilling final at Scunthorpe which showcased the determination and skill of both teams.
The game began with a series of scrums, penalties, and line-outs, setting the stage for a fiercely contested battle.
Spalding took an early lead with a penalty kick, making it 0-3, but Kesteven responded with strong defensive plays and won a penalty for holding on.
However, Spalding's disciplined play led to a strong scrum position and subsequent score, extending their lead to 0-10.
Just before half-time, Kesteven's George sent a quick ball through the backs to Josh, who executed a terrific kick and chase, allowing Finn to score to make it 5-10.
However, Spalding quickly retaliated with a try under the posts, ending the first half at 5-17.
The second half saw Kesteven's resurgence, with Josh scoring a try within the first minute, followed by another try from Arnie after brilliant runs from Jack and Sean, levelling the score at 17-17.
Spalding regained the lead with a breakaway try, making it 17-22.
Kesteven's Nate then made a magnificent run down the right wing, scoring under the posts and putting Kesteven ahead at 24-22.
Spalding's efforts to reclaim the lead were thwarted by a match-saving tackle by Jack and Kesteven's defence held strong in the final minutes to secure the victory and the trophy.
