Two taken to hospital after A17 crash

Two people have been taken to hospital following a crash on the A17 at Fleet Hargate.

Police have closed Washway Road in both directions following the three vehicle collision which took place earlier this morning.

An eyewitness reported that the incident had happened between the Anglia Motel and the Lodge Farm Cafe.

Police state in the latest social media post: “Two cars and a lorry were involved in this collision, and two people have been injured and taken to hospital for treatment.

“The road is expected to be closed for some time yet.”

Traffic problems are being experienced around Holbeach and Fleet due to the road closure.
