Spalding Priory School teacher's Great North Run fundraiser in 2009

A teacher from Spalding enlisted the help of her pupils in a fundraising drive before taking part in the Great North Run back in 2009.

Sarah O’Brien, who taught at the Priory School, ran the half marathon in two hours and 20 minutes as she raised £250 for Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Butterfly Hospice Trust.

Pupils helped out her fundraising with a sponsored non-uniform day. Pictured are Sarah with pupils Ryan Bonifert, Becky Crowden, Adam Lesiakowski, Ellie Rorth, Jacob Crowson and Emily Green.
