Dad Daniel Lambert left red faced after unfortunate photo of bubble wand at Disneyland Paris

A devoted dad was left red-faced after a family snap revealed he had been walking around the Disneyland with a 'silly coloured' bubble wand 'penis'.

Daniel Lambert, 34, was on holiday with his daughter Ava, five, at Disneyland Paris when she begged him for a Little Mermaid hand held bubble machine.

The sales manager was reluctant to splash out €30 on the gadget but lamented - only for it it be abandoned back to his care 'seven minutes later'.

Daniel tucked it into his 'stylish' bum bag and it wasn't until the pair were snapped by the carousel that he realised it resembled a 'silly coloured penis'.

Daniel, from Lincoln, said: "I looked at the picture and nearly died.

"I thought 'I've been walking around with this silly coloured penis thing hanging from between my legs for hours'.

"I went bright red and thought 'Oh my god'. I genuinely wanted to just run and hide.

"I go red at the best of times but I felt warm in the face with embarrassment."

Daniel and Disney-mad Ava had travelled by car and ferry to the theme park for their four day stay in August last year.

Ava, who loves Snow White and Elsa, spotted the 'Little Mermaid' hand held bubble machine and Daniel forked out €30 - a price which he said 'felt personally curated to insult my financial decisions'.

He said: "She was thrilled for about seven minutes and then she got bored of it and moved onto something else as kids do.

"The bubble machine was demoted to a backup role and placed safely through the strap of my highly practical and undeniably stylish bum bag.

"I was walking around - for a good two and a half hours - with that thing between my legs.

"Ava wanted to go on the carousel and afterwards she wanted a picture - I'm so happy she wants to take pictures with me.

"This random guy took the picture and there it was."

Having shared the snap with friends and family, Daniel realised how hilarious people found it and posted on the Dull Men's Club Facebook group.

His post has now racked up more than 19k likes and one kind follower has even edited out the bubble machine.

However Daniel said he's going to stick with the original.

He said: "I do prefer the unedited version. I'll keep it for her 18th birthday.

"The embarrassment is lost now because it's made so many people smile.

"If it makes people laugh I'm alright with that. It's a laugh at me so that's always funny."

Ava will be celebrating her sixth birthday today (March 29) by watching the new live-action remake of Snow White.
