Ingoldmells’ Fantasy Island ranked one of the best theme parks in the country for kids
There’s no doubt holidaymakers love the thrills and spills of the rides at Fantasy Island.
You only have to see how packed the Ingoldmells venue has been throughout the summer.
But where does it rank among the best theme parks in the country for kids?
Well, the answer - like the popular east coast rollercoaster - is very high indeed.
A new study by kids equipment specialists Outdoor Toys places Fantasy Island amongst the top five in the country.
Looking into multiple factors such as the number of rides, food outlets, average hotel costs and Trip Advisor ratings, they have ranked the most child-friendly venues in the country.
Fantasy Island comes in at an impressive fourth on the list, above more famous names such as Alton Towers, Lightwater Valley and Thorpe Park.
In fact, only number one-ranked Drayton Manor in Tamworth, plus second and third-placed Paulton’s Theme Park in Hampshire and Sundown Adventureland in Nottinghamshire sit above the Lincolnshire venue.
“Fantasy Island, Skegness is the UK’s 4th best theme park for kids, boasting a park score of 6.07,” the study said.
“Featuring 38 rides and eight food outlets, this park offers a great value day out perfect for young families.
“Here, local hotel stays average £80 per night and child tickets cost £15.99.
“Its charm is evident, with 469,000 annual searches.”
