Police use stinger to halt ‘dangerous driver’ after chase near Sleaford

Police used a stinger to halt a suspected dangerous driver earlier today.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing ‘at least six’ police cars with flashing sirens giving chase in the Sleaford area at around 11.30am this morning.

Lincolnshire Police confirmed they used the stinger to stop a vehicle near the Holdingham Roundabout after pursuing them along the A15.

“Incident 116 of Thursday, January 4. A vehicle was spotted travelling along a road at Nocton Heath in Lincoln at around 10.20am,” a statement read.

“Officers used a stinger device near Holdingham Roundabout to help bring the vehicle to a stop.

“Two people were subsequently arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop.”
