Plans for up to 400 homes on land off Spalding Road, Pinchbeck, recommended for approval




A bid to build hundreds of new homes on the outskirts of Spalding has been recommended for approval.

Ashley King Developments Ltd has submitted a hybrid application asking for full planning permission for 100 homes and outline permission for up to 300 homes on land off Yews Farm, Spalding Road, Pinchbeck.

The application is due to go before South Holland District Council's planning committee on Wednesday next week when the proposal has been recommend for approval.

A report to the committee states that permission should be granted for the 100 home development with a condition of seven affordable homes and a contribution to the Spalding Western Relief road of £802,800.

While the condition for the up to 300 homes asks for 25% affordable housing along with contributions to education and health services and £8,028 per dwelling towards the relief road.

The report states: "The principle of residential development on the site has been established by virtue of the housing allocation in the Local Plan."
