Quadring church welcomed 100 visitors to weekend’s events

An Easter Egg hunt and refreshments attracted about 100 visitors to a church over the weekend.

Members and friends of St Margaret’s Church in Quadring organised a number of activities over Easter Sunday, including a tombola.

People who live in South Holland along with visitors from King’s Lynn and Spilsby went along to the event to learn more about St Margaret’s or their relatives who are buried in the churchyard.

About 50 Easter Eggs had been hidden in the churchyard which were discovered by youngsters.

Visitors also went up the church tower to enjoy the surrounding views.

The event raised a total of £336.20 for church funds.

One of the people involved in the event is Heather Girdlestone. She said: “It was fantastic weather, which contributed to the numbers visiting and allowed us to get a good number of them to complete a questionnaire to help with funding bids for the renovations needed by the church.”
