Mark and Rebekah Potter excited to have opened The Foot Lady Foot Health Clinic in Holbeach
An ambitious couple are looking to plug a gap in an under-staffed industry as they expand their business.
Mark and Rebekah Potter are set to fully open The Foot Lady Foot Health Clinic in Holbeach on May 3, which will join their original facilities in Terrington St Clement.
They are both foot health practitioners, and can also carry out neurovascular assessments for diabetic treatments.
Trained in the use of scalpels, they can also remove hard skin and painful corns - as well as reduce thickened or fungal-affected toenails.
Mrs Potter has worked in the industry for nearly seven years, performing house visits for five of those before opening up a clinic in her back garden.
“A lot of my work has been based around Holbeach, so that’s why I decided it was quite a good place to come,” she said.
“I’ve got quite a nice patient base there already. It’s so busy. It’s such an under-staffed industry.”
The pair’s new clinic is based at Boston Road South, and they already have 50 people booked in for appointments.
Mr Potter will primarily be based at the Holbeach location, while Mrs Potter will switch between both clinics.
For the latter, she hopes moving into the town will be another step on an exciting journey.
“It’s a dream, especially for me. I always wanted to build my business, I always wanted to try and open a second clinic,” she said.
“It’s a real dream to be able to open it and serve more people. It’s nice to get new feet through the door.
“We definitely see there’s a demand for it - it’s just spreading the word. There aren’t enough people out there to do it.”
