First look at Spalding's new £4million Tulip Queen

A new £4million addition to Spalding's pub and restaurant scene is about to open and Spalding Today can give you a sneak preview of The Tulip Queen.

Due to open officially on Monday, The Tulip Queen forms part of the multi-million pound Lincs Gateway Business Park off Cowbit Road, Spalding.

Featuring a pub that can cater for up to 180 people, The Tulip Queen also has a 38-bedroom lodge on two floors, with double, twin and family rooms that can accommodate four people.

The pub also has a carvery, cake counter, interactive area for children and outdoor play area.

Wolverhampton-based brewery Marstons, owners of The Tulip Queen, have employed 60 staff to work at the pub, restaurant and lodge.

These include front-of-house staff, chefs, kitchen assistants, housekeepers and night porter.

Manager Gary Stevenson said: "A lot of work has gone into making sure that the lodge and pub are ready for opening.

"I speak for the whole team when I say we are looking forward to welcoming our new customers.

"We truly believe that the Tulip Queen will be a great addition to Spalding and cannot wait to open our doors on Monday."
