A singer who toured with iconic 80s acts will be talking about her memoir in a popular shop.
Janey Lee Grace has talking about her book, From WHAM! to Woo A Life on the Mic, at Spalding Bookmark on Wednesday, October 30.
From singing backing vocals with George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley on all their tours, she also worked with Sinitta, Kim Wilde, Natalie Cole but also went to go onto co-host the Steve Wright in the Afternoon show on BBC Radio 2.
The singer started her career in Manchester and Birmingham nightclubs before landing her first big gig with Mari Wilson and the Wilsations from which she was fired for refusing to dye her hair canary yellow.
She had her own top ten hit in the 90s with Cola Boy and the book gives a fun insight into the back room of pop music, television and radio.
Over the years she has appeared on Good Morning Britain, Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, The Wright Stuff, BBC Breakfast and Sky TV Entertainment news.
Transitioning from music to media, she became a presenter for ITV, VH-1, Sky News, Virgin Radio, BBC Radio 2 Sunday Love Songs.
