Spalding KFC due to open by end of August as work nears completion
Spalding's new drive-thru KFC branch is on course to open in the coming weeks as construction work nears completion.
Bosses at the fried chicken chain say their new fast food restaurant at the Lincs Gateway Business Park should definitely open 'by the end of August'.
A new structure off the A1175 at Barrier Bank roundabout - next to Applegreen - has been constructed in the past few months and will house KFC and Taco Bell.
There had been a campaign set up - with a dedicated Facebook page - to try to woo KFC to Spalding.
A KFC spokesman said: “We know the people of Spalding have been eagerly awaiting our shiny new coop, and we can’t wait to show them either. We’ll be serving our delicious fried chicken later this summer. Watch this space!”
A Taco Bell spokesman said they were not yet in a position to give an update on when it will open.
KFC said its Spalding branch will bring 35 jobs.
