Holbeach Motormania organises promotional vehicle parade in Fleet ahead of classic car and bike show at Lawns and Lakes Campsite
Motor enthusiasts soaked up the sun as they drove in convoy to help promote a classic car and bike event.
Holbeach Motormania, organised by Coun Sophie Hutchinson, involved more than 30 drivers taking their vehicles in a parade from Fleet Road Industrial Estate on Saturday.
The following day, a classic car and bike show took place at the Lawns and Lakes Campsite, Fleet, where visitors could see the displays and enjoy stalls and live music.
Coun Hutchinson said: “Lots of people came out to see them go by. It was a great way of promoting the next day’s event and we were really pleased with how it went.
“The sunshine brought out lots of people on the day and we have received lots of positive feedback from the public ,traders and club stands.
“There were also lots of things for visitors to enjoy throughout the day.”
Live music was performed by Hold the Sky and youngsters enjoyed the bouncy castles and face painting.
Awards were given to those who entered the classic car competition and the best in show was a Volkswagen Beetle, best classic was a minivan and a Mini won the best modified category.
Coun Hutchinson added: “ We would like to thank all our volunteers who did a brilliant job of stewarding on the day and the ATC (Air Training Corps) for managing the visitor parking for us.
“We would also like to thank the Lawns and Lakes Campsite for allowing us to use their site for the event.
“We are now recuperating from a busy weekend and will be starting to plan next year's event in the coming months.”
