Handsome hunks join Holbeach woman on a shopping trip to Morrisons at Pinchbeck
A 60th birthday dream came true for Sally Sharman-Gray when buff guys from the Hunks in Trunks naked butler service helped with her shopping.
The hunks didn’t go naked for Saturday’s spin around Morrisons at Pinchbeck but Luke and Jake were showing off their well-muscled torsos.
Thanks to Morrisons, the guys were winning even more hearts as they handed out red roses.
Sally’s husband, Andy, sprang the surprise after years of hearing his wife asking for two fit guys to help with her packing at the checkout.
Andy said: “’Would you like any help packing?’ is a phrase many of us are familiar with at the checkout.
“For Sally, her response, for many years, has been ‘Well, if you could lay on someone young, around 30ish, easy on the eye, fit, well muscled and underdressed, please’ which more recently developed in to ‘For my 60th birthday, I’d like …” and has always brought a smile from the checkout staff.”
Andy had to shop around for a supermarket that would allow the event to happen on their premises and says Morrisons were only too pleased.
One supermarket decided it couldn’t accommodate the request, fearing it might spark offence and didn’t want to take the risk.
Andy said: “Huge thanks to Morrisons who were game for a laugh and couldn’t have been more helpful at all levels - from the managers, customer services, and barista bar to staff individually wrapping and tying a couple of dozen red roses, two weeks before Valentine’s Day, to be handed out to smiling shoppers by the guys.”
He said no one took offence on the day - everyone accepted it as harmless fun - and there were a few comments from shoppers wanting the same treatment.
The biggest thrill for Andy was that the day lived up to Sally’s expectations and so he’s counting that as mission
accomplished.
Sally said afterwards: “It has been the most wonderful day.
“I’ve loved every minute of it. The boys were fantastic - can I take them home now, please?
“And for my 65th birthday can they come back and clean my house?”
Sally met up with friends at the store before she was joined by the handsome hunks for a spot of shopping.
They set out from the Barista Bar and toured the store with a trolley adorned with balloons, banners and badges.
Andy said: “A lot of laughter could be heard from the fruit and veg aisles.”
After a wonderful weekend, the Holbeach couple are now settling back to routine.
