New dog grooming salon to open Long Sutton

Tails will be wagging as a business owner expands and opens a new dog grooming salon for pampered pooches.

Jo Wallace is the owner, stylist and tutor at Terrington Tails Dog and Cat Grooming Salon and Training Centre in Terrington St Clement.

She is opening up a second shop, Tails of Long Sutton, in the Market Place on Tuesday, August 29.

Pet owners are welcome to bring along their animals on Monday, August 28 to take a look around and make an appointment.

Mrs Wallace, who has been a dog and cat groomer for seven years, said: “There will be goody bags and freebies plus advice about styling.

“People can bring their dogs and we can take a look at their coats.”

The second shop will provide custom to people in Long Sutton who frequently visited Terrington Tails.

Mrs Wallace said: “We really want to help service the local community and they don’t have to come over the bridge so it is a good opportunity for people to have something closer to home. “

With six staff working between the two venues the aim is to give animals a ‘calm and holistic experience.’

She added: “We are animal lovers and we care about the animals.

“We offer a friendly experience with high quality grooms and it includes everything – spa treatment, nails and ear clipping.

“The owner can leave their animals and go off and relax and have a cuppa in Long Sutton and then come back and pick up their doggies.”

As a tutor as well, the four-legged friends are in good hands.

Mrs Wallace said: “I provide cat and dog grooming courses.

“I really wanted to teach people to be good quality dog trainers.

“We like to make it a nice experience and make sure the dogs are happy.”
