New site approved for Pinchbeck logistics firm FreshLinc

FreshLinc has been given permission to build a new chill store near its headquarters in Pinchbeck.

The logistics firm - which works with retailers, food manufacturers, growers and importers in the UK and Europe - has been given the green light for a chill store, collation and loading dock together with offices, self store containers and car parking in Bervor Close.

The site is vacant land that borders Wardentree Lane between Screwfix and Jewson and is accessed close to its existing headquarters.

Planning documents suggest the development will result in 37 more warehouse and office/admin staff are employed by FreshLinc.

Currently, it employs about 400 people locally and 500 in total.

A design and access statement said: "The proposals will secure the continued employment of existing staff and pave the way for future growth."
