Plans to convert Spalding Registry Office into home are approved
Plans to convert a former registry office into a home has been approved.
Ms R Firth had applied to South Holland District Council to change the use of Spalding Registry Office, Bath Lane, into a dwelling along with making alterations and boundary treatment, erection of shed and satellite dish.
Among the alterations to the 17th century building is the removal of a disabled bathroom and hallway on the ground floor to create a lounge.
While a wall and door between the northern office and the ceremony hall will be removed to create a large kitchen diner.
There are also plans to create a master bedroom, dressing room and en-suite on the first floor. Two further bedrooms will be created on the second floor from store rooms.
