Spalding Frankie & Benny's site up for sale

The Spalding branch of a restaurant chain has been put up for sale.

The Frankie & Benny's site, in Camel Gate, has gone on the market with a guide price of £850,000.

There is also the option to lease the building, with agent Savills saying it is also inviting rental offers.

Earlier this month the chain's owner, The Restaurant Group, announced it was to close 35 of its branches - including some of those which trade as Chiquito - across the country.

When we approached the firm for information, a spokesman could not say if the Spalding site was among those planned to close.

He said: "We are unable to confirm which locations will close as this remains subject to an ongoing review, particularly as leases come up for renewal over the next two years."
