Successful debut for Holbeach Parish Fair
Another annual event could be added to the growing Holbeach diary after its first-ever parish fair proved a success.
Organised by Holbeach Parish Council as a support to Saturday's food festival, Sunday's fair managed to keep the sunshine in the town.
Community groups, such as the Friends of Holbeach Parks, South Holland Explorer Scouts, Holbeach In Bloom and an action group working to improve the town shared Carter's Park with charities, including Lincolnshire, Essex and Trent Boxer Dog Rescue.

Coun Paul Foyster, parish council chairman said: "It went very well and we had quite a good attendance, considering there were so many other events on at the same time.
"All the charities and local groups were pleased, as were the traders, and the live music from Holbeach Town Band and rock group Pegler was something people seemed to like.
"Large supplies of food and drink were consumed and I think it was the first occasion when so many groups in Holbeach have come together at the same time.
" Everyone seemed happy with the amounts raised for charities and good causes, something that is vital if our town is to prosper and move forward.

"I wish to thank everyone who helped set up the event, fellow parish councillors and others who acted as stewards, our staff from the office and the parks, the local voluntary organisations and the Holbeach Food Festival group, headed by Coun Nick Worth, for allowing us to use the temporary infrastructure from the previous day.
"As we now know each other so much better, we hope that even more groups will participate if we repeat the event next year."
Coun Carter, of Holbeach Town Action Group, said: "We had a really successful weekend, with many people interested and signing up for the free newsletter that is produced and emailed to residents.
"This increased engagement will help spread the word about Holbeach events and also promote the businesses in the town further too.
"I also had a good number of questionnaires completed over the weekend, many people having taken them away to return to me in the next few days.
"The data collected from those will really help us to make future decisions about events in the town to ensure that we are doing what the residents want.
"Overall, it was a successful and a great community weekend for Holbeach, with a great atmosphere too."
