Spalding Pub Lincolnshire Poacher has delayed reopening until 4pm

Publicans have delayed the grand opening of town pub until later this afternoon.

The Lincolnshire Poacher in Double Street was due to reopen this morning at 10.30am but this now been put back to 4pm.

Cameron Bean (24) took the keys to the Lincolnshire Poacher in June and has already spent about £80,000 on doing it up over the past few months.

A Facebook post issued yesterday states: "Please be aware that due to circumstances we will now be opening at 16:00 tomorrow.

"At times we thought this day wouldn’t be possible due to setbacks creeping out the woodwork.. literally!

"A lot of hard work has gone into making the pub an acceptable standard to open. A lot of this is not visible to the eye but we have made our own touches and will continue to put our own mark on it as we go.

"The main change we’ve hoped to achieve is you lovely lot and seeing the Poacher in a positive light. We hope to bring a lot to the table which will make it somewhere that all walks of life will want to go.

"We can’t thank you enough for your continued support and we hope to see you soon."
