Holbeach travel agent to close… but bookings are safe

A high street travel agent is closing a branch today ‘with a sad heart’.

Award-winning Inspire Travel by Shaun will close its Holbeach shop later this month after almost two years of trading, saying rising costs has made the operation ‘no longer financially viable’.

However, the newly-refurbished Bourne branch will continue to operate and all current bookings will be transferred there.

“It is with a sad heart that I have to announce that the Holbeach branch of Inspire Travel by Shaun at 7 High Street will be closing on Thursday, April 24,” a statement said.

“I wish to thank the many people who have booked holidays with us and supported us over the last two years but, unfortunately, the number of bookings and local support has not grown enough in this time.

“That coupled with the recent rise in business rates means that the shop in Holbeach is unfortunately no longer financially viable.”

However, customers were told their holidays remain in safe hands.

“Our other store in Bourne is still open and, in fact, gets massive local support and continues to grow.

“All current ongoing bookings will be transferred to the Bourne branch.

“I will still be available for home appointments in the Holbeach and Whaplode area for any new bookings and for any existing bookings.”
