Gedney Hill woman involved in major crash near Northstowe, Cambridgeshire remains in ‘critical condition’




A woman who was involved in a crash between two buses and a fire engine, remains in ‘critical condition’ – nearly a week on from a major incident.

A 44-year-old from Gedney Hill, sustained ‘serious injuries’, and was one of the 11 passengers taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge last Thursday (April 17).

Police attended the collision on the B1050 Station Road in Cambridgeshire, at about 2pm.

The fire engine, which was responding to an emergency call, collided with a single-decker Stagecoach bus travelling towards St Ives.

A second single-decker Stagecoach bus driving in the opposite direction was also involved.

The ten other passengers, including the driver of the second bus, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
