Thurlow Nunn League round-up for Holbeach United and Pinchbeck United
A late leveller from the penalty spot denied Holbeach United victory over play-off chasing Diss Town on Saturday.
The Tigers were pegged back by an 89th minute equaliser as the two sides shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw at Carter's Park.
It leaves Holbeach now unable to catch their fifth-placed visitors in the race for the play-offs in the Thurlow Nunn League Division One North.
Holbeach had taken a 10th minute lead when some fine play from Harvey Thorne created an opening for Callum Wright to score the opening goal.
However, Diss levelled three minutes before the break when captain Kyle Baker slammed the ball home.
Holbeach started the second half strongly and a fine save from Tangerines goalkeeper George Howes prevented the hosts from regaining the lead.
But the Tigers didn't have to wait much longer to go back in front as substitute Marley Hamilton marked his return from injury on the hour mark by latching onto a long ball and slotting home his finish.
Holbeach then introduced Jordan Keeble with 10 minutes remaining to make his 300th senior appearance for the club.
However, they were unable to mark the milestone with a victory as the late penalty was converted by Liam Jackson to earn the visitors a vital point.
Pinchbeck United were also held to a home draw after missing a series of chances in their goalless stalemate with Needham Market Reserves at the Sir Halley Stewart ground.
Flynn Slater saw a first half effort cleared off the line after rounding the visiting goalkeeper before Josh Doran was thwarted by the custodian.
Harry Cranfield headed another opportunity over the crossbar as Pinchbeck's search for a breakthrough continued to prove elusive.
The Knights play the second of three successive home games on Tuesday night when they host FC Parson Drove.
Victory for Pinchbeck will see them move above their visitors into ninth place in the table as just three points separates the sides going into the match.
