Dan Lawlor and Dion Sembie-Ferris sign for Spalding United from Peterborough Sports
Tulips boss Jimmy Dean has been reunited with two of the players who helped him bring glory to one of his former clubs after a double transfer raid on Peterborough Sports.
Spalding have swooped to sign midfielder Dan Lawlor and attacker Dion Sembie-Ferris from the National League North club.
An disclosed fee has been paid for the duo in a deal which has seen Spalding striker Tyler Winters sign for the Turbines.
A club statement from Peterborough Sports said: "We would like to announce the sale of Dion Sembie-Ferris and Dan Lawlor for an undisclosed fee to join Spalding United.
"We would like to thank both players for their time and commitment. We wish them the very best for the future."
Lawlor has been an integral part of the Sports side which has risen from the United Counties League to step two of the non-league pyramid.
The energetic midfielder joins the Tulips for a second spell having also featured for Stamford and St Ives earlier in his career.
Sembie-Ferris started his career in the full-time playing ranks with Colchester United where he made 25 appearances in the Football League.
He moved to Peterborough Sports from St Neots before returning to the club for a second spell after joining Dean during his time as manager of Scunthorpe United.
Sembie-Ferris featured for the Iron last season against the Tulips in the final of the Lincolnshire Senior Cup.
Their arrivals have seen Winters move in the opposite direction after initially joining Spalding on a permanent basis in the summer following his release from Peterborough United.
He enjoyed a prolific loan spell with the Tulips last season but has struggled for a regular place in the starting line-up this year.
Winters was due to make his debut for Sports on Tuesday night in their National League North match against Alfreton Town.
