Organic Ritual Beauty (ORB) in Uppingham High Street placed at the British Hair and Beauty Awards
A beautician who puts organic treatments at the heart of her business has been recognised.
Organic Ritual Beauty (ORB) in Uppingham High Street was nominated in the British Hair and Beauty Awards, which shows appreciation for those in the industry working in salons and spas.
ORB gained the silver prize for best new business, which under five years old, in the East Midlands.
Lottie Davies, owner, said: “The competition was fierce with many incredible businesses having been entered, so it’s a real honour to have even been placed as finalists. We had to submit thousands of words of supporting evidence and of course I’m absolutely thrilled at the result.”
She included information on how her and the beauty therapists supported and kept in touch throughout lockdown.
Lottie also gained the bronze award for entrepreneur of the year in the East Midlands.
In November last year, she launched a Super Serum containing Vitamin A and C to help people take better care of their skin, which added to her product line of 15 items.
Lottie’s product line, which includes range of hand-blended massage oils, are now stocked in multiple salons across the UK from Scotland and Wales to West Sussex, Essex and Wiltshire.
“To have other industry peers love my products enough to use them on their own clients really is quite surreal,” she said.
Adding: “Awards definitely weren’t in my mind when I started - I was only 22 myself so really quite naive in business and the industry.
“I have had an awful lot of feedback after on how we were deserving of the awards.”
The ORB team were equally as excited by the news that they had been recognised.
Lottie said there is ‘lots more in the pipeline’ as she prepares to launch new products.
