Bargain Hunt filmed at Golding Young autioneers in Bourne

An auctioneer at a 150-year-old family-owned business has been taking part in BBC's Bargain Hunt.

Colin Young, who has a saleroom in Spalding Road, Bourne, has made regular appearances on the programme over the past 20 years as an expert helping contestants to find items that will sell at auction for a profit.

He shared the filming of four shows with Kirsty Young, fellow director of the Golding Young business, with the first show filmed in November and the most recent on Wednesday last week (February 8) in Bourne.

Describing the filming as 'good fun', Colin said they had used the Delaine Bus Museum as a green room for those involved, as well as carrying out some of the filming there.

Other parts of the Bourne show were filmed in the Golding Young saleroom, while previous shows they filmed were shot in Hemswell near Gainsborough and Shepton Mallet in Somerset.

Colin said: "This was the first Bargain Hunt for me since covid and it was really nice to be involved in helping contestants again."
