Bluebird Care to create 100 new jobs

A home care provider is set to create 100 jobs across Stamford and Peterborough.

Bluebird Care (Peterborough and Rutland), which is based in Wharf Road, Stamford, is now recruiting community care assistants to meet a growing demand for its services.

The company is expanding its operations across the region and hopes to take on the new staff over the next 12 months,

It is recruiting 50 staff to work in the Peterborough area and another 50 to work in the Stamford area.

The four-year-old firm’s expansion into the Peterborough area is on the back of a growth in private customers and NHS based contracts that have been won in the last three to six months. In Stamford, the firm has enjoyed an increased demand for its services.

Leisa MacKenzie, owner and director said: “Since opening in 2011, we have achieved award after award, for the quality care we provide, and since lots of people want our services, we are expanding quickly and so we are able to create more jobs for people in the community.”

Bluebird Care employs 50 people in Stamford and Rutland, contributing more than £500,000 per year to the local economy.

The company has celebrated its fourth anniversary and has received praise from the government regulator, the Care Quality Commission.
