Car rental company to open in Stamford

A car rental company is opening in Stamford.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car will open at the former Volkswagen garage in Uffington Road on Monday, January 23, creating nine jobs.

The building was most recently used as a Covid-19 vaccination centre.

A spokesman for Enterprise Rent-A-Car said: "The branch will provide local people and businesses with access to rental vehicles and our Car Club offering.

"The car club provides members with access to more than 1,500 vehicles in more than 220 communities across the UK.

"We are committed to helping communities to reduce emissions and congestion and improve air quality by giving people access to modern low emission vehicles.”
