For Rutland gets a £1,000 boost from Enterprise Rent-A-Car
A car rental firm has given a charity that funds specialist health advisors a £1,000 boost.
For Rutland, who fund the advisors at the county's branch of Citizens Advice in Oakham, received the cheque from the Enterprise Rent-A-Car-Foundation who supply pool cars to the county council.
Caroline Hammond, fundraiser at For Rutland, said: "We are truly grateful to Enterprise for their very generous support, which will help us pay for advisers based at Citizens Advice Rutland.
"The advisers are able to support local residents with practical problems associated with long-term health conditions and also ensure that clients are able to get the necessary funding through grants and benefits at a time they most need it.
"The advisers do an amazing job and really help to protect people's quality of life during difficult times."
For Rutland can help those suffering from conditions with practical problems such as mobility issues, difficulties with employment, keeping up with mortgage payments, assistance with transport to appointments and maximising income and managing debt.
Rutland County Council nominated the charity to Enterprise.
Coun Lucy Stephenson (Con-Uppingham), cabinet member of transport at the council, said: "I’m so pleased that we were able to nominate For Rutland to be the beneficiaries of Enterprise fundraising and have no doubt this money will be put to good use."
