Sushi and Salad to open in Stamford High Street
People in the high street will be whisked away on a journey to ‘discover and explore’ at new Japanese restaurant.
Juliana Rodrigues and William Hunt are opening the second branch of their ‘Sushi and Salad’ restaurant in Stamford.
William said: “Stamford is a fantastic town. Everyone is happy and the quality of everything is a great standard.”
The restaurant will have a variety of options, including light bites and a vegan menu.
The couple’s first branch is in Ely, which opened in February last year.
Ingredients will be sourced locally where possible and most of the food is made to order with fresh ingredients, apart from rice, which is made every hour.
Juliana said: “We try to be as authentic as possible.
“We think that Stamford will marry beautifully with the restaurant.”
Juliana is from Brazil, which has a large Japanese population, and she grew up eating sushi. She ran a restaurant there before moving to England, aged 21, where she met William who shared the same dream.
Sushi and Salad will be located in the former Stamford Pantry cafe and is expected to open in June for diners to eat in or take away.
“It is a welcoming, comfortable, sophisticated and exclusive place. We want to try to cater for everyone,” William said.
