Date set for Oundle Food Festival

The date has been set for a town’s 15th annual food festival.

Dozens of food and drinks stalls will line the streets of Oundle from 9am to 4pm on Saturday, June 21.

Philip Amps of Oundle-based Amps Wine Merchants said: “The launch of the food festival programme is always a highlight, as it gets local traders looking forward to the heady days of June.

“With the streets closed to traffic, people can wander the stalls, nibbling and sipping as they go.

“It’s a superb showcase of the town and the wonderful traders the area around it supports.”

All of the shops, cafes and restaurants are signed up to take part, and there will be live music and entertainment throughout the day.

There will also be free parking and road closures will be in place throughout the town centre.

Oundle Town Council’s mayor Ian Clark said “It’s a huge operation shutting an A-road through town and the logistics are complex – but what a showcase for local suppliers.”
