George’s fish bar in Bourne raises £1,100 for The Butterfield Centre

Staff at a fish and chip shop celebrated the anniversary of their business by supporting charity.
George’s fish bar in Cherry Holt Road, Bourne, turns 14 this year.
Owner Georgios Georgiou and his staff wanted to do something special to celebrate the landmark. So they put up a prize wheel outside the shop and invited customers to make a donation in exchange for a spin.
The shop gave out more than 500 free meals and hundreds of pieces of merchandise. And thanks to generous donations from customers, a total of £1,100 was handed over to The Butterfield Centre.
