A football club has handed over a cheque to a hospice.
After extensive fundraising efforts, including a Tough Mudder race, Deeping United Football Club’s U10 girls team raised more than £2,000.
The challenge was for Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough in memory of Market Deeping resident Steve Gavaghan, who had brain cancer and died last year.
The girls presented a cheque to Asif Shaheed from Sue Ryder earlier this month and thanked him for all the work staff at the hospice do.
