Deeping St James firm Lily Mae Home Care to distribute new health monitoring kit

A home care provider says its new service will take the pressure off GPs and cut ambulance call-outs and hospital admissions.

Lily Mae Home Care, based in Deeping St James, has been chosen as the UK distributor for the Dakik Patient Monitoring System which is available to people in their own homes.

The equipment monitors blood pressure, blood count, temperature, ECG, pulse and blood sugars, and sends the readings in real time using a mobile phone to their home care provider or GP surgery.

Lily Mae managing director, Alex Ozkan, said it will reduce the number of surgery appointments for routine readings and ease the pressure on health teams who visit patients in at home.

He added: "There is nothing like this in the UK at the moment, and we are confident from our initial trials that not only does this system provide peace of mind for families, it also means that early signs of any fluctuations in the condition of someone at home can be identified and acted upon proactively before the condition worsens.”
