Exeter Arms in Easton-on-the-Hill, near Stamford, set to close as it looks for new owners

A popular restaurant is set to close this weekend and has been put on the market.

The Exeter Arms, in Easton-on-the-Hill, will close its doors from Sunday after business owner Gary Eldred decided to sell and pursue other opportunities.

Gary took over the restaurant and bar in May 2020 and carried out a renovation of the Stamford Road venue.

“It has been just over three amazing years of providing the best food, drink and service to you lovely people,” said a post on its Facebook page.

“However, all good things must come to and end, and as a team we feel that this is the right time to hand on what we have created to the next team of legends, whoever they may be.”

It added: “Now is the right time to go and explore other avenues and who knows where we may end up.
