Pulse and Cocktails sex shop between Grantham and Stamford has licence renewed

A sex shop by the A1 north of Stamford has had its licence renewed.

The licensing committee of South Kesteven District Council agreed unanimously to allow the shop, just north of Colsterworth, to continue trading yesterday (Thursday).

The committee was told that no complaints had been received about the business during a 28-day consultation period beforehand.

A spokesperson for South Kesteven District Council said: "As there had been no complaints made from any of the responsible authorities, members of the public or nearby businesses, it was proposed, seconded and unanimously agreed to approve the licence as applied for."

In fact, the applicant has run the shop since 2009 and the committee was told that no complaints had been received during the 13 years since.

The shop, which is on the southbound carriageway, is allowed to open daily until 10pm, including bank holidays.
