Homewares business Sophie Allport opens new shop in Spalding Road in Bourne
Homewares business Sophie Allport has just opened the doors to a new shop at The Old Brewery in Spalding Road in Bourne.
Sophie Allport now sells over 40 different designs and their full collection of homewares, bags, accessories, bedding, home fragrance and collections for pets and children are all on display in the new store. There is also a selection of items hand-picked by Sophie including furniture, mirrors, lamps and other home accessories.
“The new premises have offered us a platform on which to grow the business,” explained Sophie’s brother and business partner Jem. “The new shop is the latest development on our site which offers visitors a true 360 into who we are. Because it sits next to our warehouse and offices, there is the feeling of being a real part of the company. At the same time as seeing our full range, we also offer an exclusive area as an outlet selling returned and seconds goods at up to half price. We hope we will become a destination for people interested in the brand, which in turn will be good for the local economy.”
The project took five months to build, and many more to plan, where local businesses worked together on the build and fit-out including Hardy Construction, Intone Designs and Colourbank Carpets.
Funding was provided by Barclays and the Rural Development Programme for England.
Nigel Killock, relationship manager at Barclays, said: "Jem and Sophie have worked really hard to get the business to where it is today. They have a distinctive brand which is enjoyed by many and we are delighted we have been able to support them in the latest stage of the company’s development.”
The Sophie Allport shop and outlet will be open from 9am to 5pm Mondays to Fridays and Saturdays 10am to4pm. The site has easy access and plenty of free parking.
There is also a Sophie Allport shop in High Street, Stamford.
