Caz Dolby, owner of Wildcats, said: "Whilst the pandemic has been a huge struggle for many businesses locally including ourselves, we can now see a light at the end of the tunnel.

"We are extremely grateful to those families who stuck with us throughout lockdown, attending classes online and ensuring not only that teachers had work but that we would survive the pandemic and come back fighting, ready to open our doors to returning and new students alike.

"As teachers we know and understand how hard this has been for children to work through and understand in their own minds. Our focus in summer term will be on rebuilding confidence, building self esteem and helping children feel motivated and excited about everything again."

Since the first lockdown starts last March, pupils have taken part in a virtual Race for Life, created their own fitness videos and took part in an outdoor summer school.

Parent Jenna Mullarkey, whose daughter Leah attends classes, said: "Wildcats has been the highlight of Leah's week during lockdown. I have really seen Leah step out of her shell and it has been a pleasure to watch."
