Ryhall CE Academy celebrate winning the Eco Schools Green Flag, the School Games Gold Award and a gold level for the Artsmark

It was a fantastic Autumn term for all at Ryhall CE Academy with a triple award celebration.

Pupils started the term being awarded the Eco Schools Green Flag – awarded to schools which can demonstrate an ongoing commitment to environmental issues and raising of awareness. The flag was proudly raised to mark this achievement in the village of Ryhall. The school has now made a further commitment and are looking forward to working more with the local and wider community.

Shortly after, the school was informed that it had received the School Games Gold Award, celebrating their commitment to developing active and healthy lifestyles as well as supporting competitive sports at all levels.

The final celebration of the term came recently, when the school’s application for Artsmark status was awarded at gold level.

Headteacher Katy Walker said: "This award is a significant recognition of our ongoing commitment to all the arts across the school.

"Our children thrive on our creative approaches to the curriculum and their personal journeys in creative development help to develop each child in all academic areas as well as in their own personal attributes.

"Achieving the gold award is a celebration of the work of our staff also; they use all of the arts disciplines to bring learning to life."
